Language Enrichment for Older Students is a Tier II intervention for upper elementary and middle school students who struggle with foundational literacy skills. The curriculum is based on the principles behind the science of reading and includes the components of structured literacy. One virtual coaching session per participant is included.
Language Enrichment for Older Students is a comprehensive, five-day course that includes instruction in:
1) the structure of the English language for reading and spelling;
2) developing vocabulary and listening and reading comprehension skills;
3) research that supports structured literacy instruction; and
4) implementation, through practice, of a 30-minute lesson.
