The Word Part deck contains 51 two-sided cards. One side displays a common English suffix, prefix, root, or combining form. The other side displays pertinent information about the word part: type of the part, common meaning, pronunciation key, and sample derivative employing the word part.

The words parts cards reflect the order of instruction outlined in Accurate and Automatic Reading (AAR) and Language Enrichment (LE) and are numbered to reflect the order of concept introduction and reading practice where the word parts first occur. The Word Part Deck is a useful tool in any Structured Literacy Program.
